ANALISIS PENGUASAAN KATA ”BU” DAN ”MEI” MAHASISWA ANGKATAN 2006-2009 JURUSAN BAHASA DAN BUDAYA CHINA UNIVERSITAS BUNDA MULIA Oleh: Symphony Akelba Christian Dosen Jurusan Bahasa dan Budaya Cina (BBC) Universitas Bunda Mulia, Jakarta The negative adverb “bu” and “mei” in original language-Chinese have significant differences, especially when they express tense, but in Indonesian they have no differences. The significant differences between “bu” and “mei” makes Chinese’s learners, especially in Indonesian confusion in the use of them in sentences. Authors interested in conducting research to determine how far the students of Bunda Mulia University majoring Chinese Language and Culture understanding the means and the usages of “bu” and “mei” and the trend of student’s mistakes in communicating this two words. Data were collected through tests, questionair, observations (students’ homework) and library research. The conclution is the students overall has a good understanding in the means and the usage of the negative adverb “bu” and “mei”, they just often make mistakes in some usages.
