There were 6 community empowerment activities carried out by the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program, Bunda Mulia University for Santo Yakobus Jakarta High School Students with the theme “Capability Development in the World of Food & Beverage Product Knowledge”. The activity took place at the Food Processing Laboratory of SMA Santo Yakobus Jakarta on 3 February 2023, 3 March 2023, 10 March 2023, 31 March 2023, 14 April 2023 and 19 May 2023 which was attended by around 26 high school students. The presentation of the material was delivered by Sir Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Par., Sir Antonius Rizki Krisnadi SST.Par., MM.Par., Sir Prayogo Susanto, S.Par., M.Par., and Miss Stephanie Rosanto, BBus., MBA. with students, namely Angela Graziela, Fransisca Theresia, Merin Sasmita, and Dea Fernanda. The materials presented were Hygiene & Sanitation, Cheesecake in the box, Ramen Carbonara, Maranggi Chicken, Food Commodities, and Tamagoyaki. Provision of basic knowledge in basic food processing is given first followed by a demonstration of food processing. After that, St. Yakobus High School students were given the opportunity to be able to practice it directly accompanied by accompanying lecturers and students. The whole meeting is expected to have a positive impact regarding food processing so that students are more interested in opening their own businesses in the food and beverage sector.
