INDONESIAN CULTURAL REAWAKENING: A HOSPITALITY ODYSSEY
Jakarta, August 28-29, 2024 — Bunda Mulia University proudly presents Hospartation, a competition and talk show activity that combines the world of hospitality and tourism in one event. “Hospartation” is an abbreviation of Hospar and Competition, carrying the big theme of Indonesian Cultural Reawakening: A Hospitality Odyssey, which will be held on August 28-29, 2024 at the Bunda Mulia University Campus.
This activity includes several competitions that aim to explore the potential and creativity of participants in reviving Indonesian cultural values in the hospitality sector. The competitions that will be held include:
Cooking Competition: A cooking competition that tests participants’ abilities in creating dishes that represent the revival of Indonesian culture.Pastry Competition: A pastry making competition with the theme of Indonesian Cultural Renaissance, where participants must display their creativity in processing traditional and modern cakes with a touch of Indonesian culture.
Tour Package Competition: This competition challenges participants to design a tour package that promotes Indonesian cultural heritage with the concept of innovation and sustainability.Front Office Competition: Participants will compete to demonstrate their best skills in front office services, providing an unforgettable experience with the characteristics of Indonesian hospitality.
The competition will be held on August 28, 2024. On the second day, August 29, 2024, the activity will continue with a talk show themed “Discovering Indonesian Culture: Innovating Local Heritage”. This talk show presents Chef Diana Matute from the Westin Hotel, an expert in Nikkei Cuisine, and Mrs. Dewi Turgarini, an expert in history and culture, Indonesian gastronomy, and gastronomic sustainability. This talk show is expected to provide new insights into innovation in preserving and developing Indonesian cultural heritage.
Before the talk show session begins, a Double Accreditation Celebration Procession will be held. The Hospitality and Tourism Study Program of Bunda Mulia University is proud to celebrate the achievement of Excellent Accreditation from BAN-PT and International Accreditation from HEACT. This achievement demonstrates Bunda Mulia University’s commitment to providing high-quality education in the fields of hospitality and tourism.
