Informatics or computer science is the study of designing and developing fundamental computing systems. It includes both theoretical and practical learning that equips individuals with the skills to manage computer technology and use it for societal development.
At Universitas Bunda Mulia, the Informatics program has been established since June 10, 2003, in accordance with Higher Education Decree No. 73/D/O/2003. The curriculum is specifically designed to address the latest technological advancements, such as the emergence of Artificial Intelligence and the growing importance of cybersecurity.

The Informatics Program is designed in alignment with the latest industry developments, ensuring that every graduate is well-prepared to enter the workforce.
The Informatics program offers specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security, which students can choose starting in their third semester.
Graduates of the Informatics Study Program receive not only a bachelor’s degree but also the international certification of Certified International Specialist Data Engineering (CISDE) as proof of their competence.
Specializations are chosen in the 3rd semester of the S1 Informatics program at UBM.
Students learn to apply various AI algorithms to create programs that can learn and produce outputs similar to those of humans.
Students learn to design, develop, and implement data security strategies and apply them to computer networks based on smart system protection.

The Informatics Student Association is known as BIOS. This student association serves as a platform for students to enhance their organizational skills and participate in various campus activities.
