Meet and Greet HMP Hospitality and Tourism Associate 2024: Pathways to Excellence – Building Bonds and Connections

Jakarta, October 7, 2024 – The Hospitality and Tourism Student Association (HMP) of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) Ancol Campus successfully held the *Meet and Greet HMP Hospar 2024: Pathways to Excellence – Building Bonds and Connections* event. The offline event, held at The UBM Master Kitchen, aimed to introduce the Student Association to first-semester students of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program. With the theme *Pathways to Excellence*, this activity was designed to spark interest among new students in organizational involvement and strengthen their participation in the association’s regeneration process. Additionally, the seminar introduced good grooming standards, which are essential in the increasingly competitive hospitality industry.

The event featured Sir Surianto, S.I.Kom., M.I.Kom., who shared insights on the importance of communication skills and personal appearance in the hospitality sector. The enthusiasm of the first-semester students was evident throughout the event. According to the evaluation results, the seminar provided significant benefits to the participants. Most of them expressed that the material presented was relevant to the event’s goals, and the media and methods used by the speaker were considered effective in delivering information. The event also enriched participants’ knowledge of the hospitality world, especially in terms of practical skills that can be applied in the field.

Overall, the event succeeded in creating an interactive atmosphere between participants and the speaker. Following this success, HMP Hospar is committed to continuously improving the quality of its activities and strengthening connections among students to better prepare them for the challenges of the ever-evolving hospitality industry.
