Jakarta, November 21, 2024 – Universitas Bunda Mulia, represented by Sir Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Par., successfully supported the implementation of the pastry competency test held at SMK SAHID. The event took place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, involving 10 students specializing in Food & Beverage Products for the Dessert Management certification scheme.
As the appointed Competency Assessor by the Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi (LSP) Hotel, Sir Yudhiet ensured that the competency test was carried out in accordance with established procedures and industry standards. Participants went through three main stages of assessment, which included a written test, in-depth interviews, and a practical demonstration. The primary focus of the practical test was the preparation and decoration of Sachertorte (Sacher Cake) and Strawberry Shortcake, evaluating technical skills as well as presentation aesthetics.
The results showed that all participants were declared “Competent”. The students demonstrated exceptional skills in decorating the Sachertorte with smooth chocolate glazing and precise detailing, while the Strawberry Shortcake was beautifully decorated with whipped cream and fresh strawberries in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement. “This outcome reflects not only the technical competence of the students but also their creativity and commitment in preparing themselves for the professional culinary world,” said Sir Yudhiet Fajar Dewantara, S.Pd., M.Par.
