Tangerang, March 21, 2025 – The Catholic Religious Unit, known as KMK UBM Serpong, held the Feast Day Mass of Saint Joseph, officiated by Rev. Ignatius Wahyudi Paweling. This event aimed to honor Saint Joseph as a model of Catholic faith.
The event took place on Friday, March 21, 2025, at The UBM Library Hall, 7th Floor, Alfa Tower, from 11:10 AM to 12:45 PM, with 15 participants in attendance. The event began with the Holy Mass, led by Rev. Ignatius Wahyudi Paweling, followed by a brief announcement session.
In his homily, the priest conveyed that the story of Joseph being sold by his brothers, as told in the First Reading, teaches us that God’s plan continues despite difficulties and betrayals. Joseph demonstrated steadfast faith and a forgiving heart, even after being hurt by those closest to him.
Furthermore, the Responsorial Psalm highlighted God’s enduring love and presence, even in challenging times. Meanwhile, the Gospel Reading encouraged self-reflection, reminding us how difficult it can be to accept God’s will and how often we prefer to follow our own desires instead.
Through this reflection, the priest invited the congregation to cultivate a gentle heart, ready to listen to and follow God’s will with full trust, even when it is challenging. Hopefully, by participating in the Feast Day Mass of Saint Joseph, we can deepen our understanding and appreciation of Saint Joseph’s story and apply it in our daily lives.
