Jakarta, March 13th 2025 – The Christian Religious Activity Unit (UKR) JIC of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus successfully held a National Webinar titled “The True Gospel” on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The event was conducted virtually via Zoom Meeting and was attended by participants consisting of Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol Campus students as well as external participants. The seminar aimed to deepen the understanding of Jesus Christ as the center of the Gospel and to foster awareness of His sacrifice in redeeming human sins. Additionally, this event served as a platform for Christian students across Indonesia to build relationships and strengthen their faith.
In line with the main theme, the seminar emphasized the importance of a profound understanding of the True Gospel as the core of the Christian faith. In a world filled with busyness and challenges, religious celebrations such as Good Friday are often observed ceremonially without truly grasping their deeper meaning. Therefore, participants were encouraged not only to understand the Gospel theoretically but also to reflect on how the True Gospel can impact their lives in a real and transformative way.
The event commenced with an opening session led by the MC, guiding participants to maintain a solemn attitude before singing Indonesia Raya and Mars UBM. This was followed by welcoming speeches from the Head of the Organizing Committee and a representative of BKM. Next, a Pray, Praise, and Worship session was held to create a meaningful atmosphere. During the material presentation session, the speaker delivered insights in line with the predetermined theme and scripture. In his presentation, Rev. Daniel Darmawan, S.Th., M.Pd., elaborated on the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the fulfillment of the promise of salvation through Him (as written in 2 Timothy 2:8). Participants were invited to understand the Gospel as the Good News that brings salvation and to reflect on how they can live faithfully as His disciples.
Following the sermon, the event proceeded with a talk show session moderated by the MC, allowing participants to ask questions. The best question received a door prize from the organizers. The event continued with announcements and the presentation of a token of appreciation to Rev. Daniel Darmawan, S.Th., M.Pd., by Bryan Manongga, S.E., M.M., as the mentor of JIC Ancol. Before concluding, all participants and organizers took a group photo, followed by a closing prayer, a final song, and closing remarks by the MC.
Overall, this national webinar was conducted smoothly and successfully. We extend our gratitude to BKM, the mentors, the speaker, the JIC Ancol Campus Executive Board for the 2024/2025 period, all committee members, and participants for their willingness to contribute their time and effort to make this seminar a success. We hope that similar events can continue to be held in the future with even better preparations.
