The Hospitality & Tourism Study Program Student Association (HMP) of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Serpong Campus successfully held a comparative study activity with the Hospitality Business Student Association (PESONA) of Prasetiya Mulya University on Friday, March 21, 2025. This event aims to strengthen relationships between student organizations and exchange insights regarding the management of student associations and Hospitality & Tourism study programs.
The event began with the arrival of HMP Hospar UBM Serpong Campus members to Prasetiya Mulya University. The HMP was warmly welcomed by the Hospitality Business Student Association (PESONA) and immediately underwent a campus tour led by PESONA Prasetiya Mulya University and was introduced to facilities, especially facilities related to the Hospitality Business study program such as kitchen lab, pastry lab, front-office lab, and room division lab managed by Prasetiya Mulya University. Furthermore, all participants were divided into several groups to participate in the Sauce Plating Competition.
After participating in the Sauce Plating Competition, the participants were directed to the Dining Hall to enjoy lunch together. After lunch, the event continued with the official opening by the MC, which was then followed by remarks by the chief executive of each university. The event then continued with remarks from Corry Olivia as Chairperson of HIMA PESONA and Felicia Tania as Chairperson of HMP HOSPAR. Furthermore, remarks were also given by Ms. Patricia Robin, as Pjs. Academic Manager 1A UBM Serpong, and Mr. Redha Widarsyah as the supervisor of HIMA PESONA. Entering the core session, the event continued with the presentation of work programs from each division of the Prasetiya Mulya University Hospitality Business Student Association, as well as an introduction session to HMP HOSPAR UBM delivered by Felicia Tania and all division heads. In this session, the HMP membership structure, job description of each division, and work programs that have been and will be carried out were explained.
The event continued with a discussion session between divisions. Each division of HMP Hospar UBM had the opportunity to exchange organizational experiences with the relevant division at PESONA Prasetiya Mulya. In this session, HMP Hospar UBM and PESONA Prasetiya Mulya shared experiences, insights, and suggestions related to Hospitality & Tourism study programs, as well as organizational management. Furthermore, a plaque was handed over as a token of appreciation. This session was closed with group documentation.
Through the discussion session, HIMA PESONA Prasetiya Mulya and HMP Hospar Serpong exchanged experiences and thoughts related to work programs that have been implemented and will be implemented. It is hoped that this comparative study event can be the basis for cooperation between HMP Hospitality & Tourism Universitas Bunda Mulia Serpong Campus together with HIMA PESONA Prasetiya Mulya in the future.
