Jakarta, December 17, 2024 – The Digital Business Program, in collaboration with the Student Association of the Digital Business Program (EXODUS), organized a Community Service Program (PKM) at SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta. The event, themed “Financial Literacy: Understanding Digital Payment Instruments,” aimed to improve students’ financial literacy regarding the safe and efficient use of digital payment technologies.
Held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, the program was attended by 28 students. The session began with a presentation covering various digital payment methods such as e-wallets, QRIS, mobile banking, debit cards, and PayLater features. This interactive session provided students with insights into the advantages, usage methods, and the importance of security in digital transactions.
Following the theoretical session, the program continued with a discussion and Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to clarify their understanding of the material presented. The participants’ enthusiasm was evident from the number of questions raised, especially regarding data security and practical steps for using digital payment instruments.
The event concluded with a hands-on practice session involving the simulation of e-wallet and QRIS usage. Students were guided through the process of registering an e-wallet account, conducting digital transactions by scanning QR codes, and safeguarding their personal data. The results showed that most students were able to successfully apply the knowledge taught during the session.
This activity had a significant positive impact, not only on the students but also on the teachers of SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta. It is hoped that through this initiative, students can apply financial literacy in their daily lives, becoming a digitally literate generation capable of responsibly managing their finances.
The collaboration between the Digital Business Program and EXODUS in this PKM activity demonstrates a tangible contribution from higher education institutions to improving digital literacy in the community.
