Jakarta, February 20, 2025 – The Information Systems Study Program of Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) successfully held a guest lecture titled “Building Trust in Big Data: The Role of Security and Privacy” on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Lecture Hall, UBM Serpong. The event featured Yasin Yudistianto, M.M., PMP, as the keynote speaker and was attended by 82 students from the Serpong Campus, 80 students from the Ancol Campus, and 19 committee members.
The seminar aimed to provide in-depth insights into the security and privacy aspects of Big Data management, which have become increasingly crucial in the digital era. The topics covered included the potentials and challenges of data management, as well as the vital role of security and privacy in building public trust. The event also encouraged interactive discussions between students, practitioners, and academics on practical solutions to address data security threats.
Based on participant feedback, the event received positive evaluations, with an average rating above 3. The Serpong Campus gave the highest rating on the speaker’s mastery of the material (3.60), while the Ancol Campus appreciated the ability to answer questions effectively (3.41). However, there were suggestions to delve deeper into topics such as Blockchain, Machine Learning, and AI in future seminars.
