In 2016, Koko Cici Jakarta adopted the theme “Journey of a Nation.” The 16 finalist pairs selected from hundreds of participants showcased their talents during the Grand Final Night held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Graha Bhakti Budaya, Jakarta. The event featured a series of cultural performances, nationalistic elements, and artistic showcasesby both the finalists and senior Koko Cici Jakarta alumni.
Over the past few years, Bunda Mulia University (UBM) and the Bunda Mulia Tourism Academy have been actively supporting this prestigious event. UBM is committed to encouraging and recognizing the achievements of young Indonesians, including those participating in Koko Cici Jakarta. Every year, UBM students enthusiastically take part in the competition. This year, the following students from Bunda Mulia University and the Bunda Mulia Tourism Academy were among the 16 finalist pairs of Koko Cici Jakarta 2016:
- Koko Budi Cayadi – Student of the Chinese Language and Culture Program, UBM
- Koko Gregorian Sui – Student of the Management Program, UBM
- Cici Yesica Yuliani Clara – Student of the Communication Science Program, UBM
- Cici Diana Sari – Student of the Communication Science Program, UBM
The academic community of Bunda Mulia University congratulates these outstanding students for successfully passing the rigorous selection process and becoming finalists of Koko Cici Jakarta 2016.
As the official sponsor of the event, Bunda Mulia University and the Bunda Mulia Tourism Academy also congratulated the winners of Koko Cici Jakarta 2016, Koko Steven Leo and Cici Kesia Gunawan, who were crowned as Koko & Cici Jakarta 2016. The winners were awarded postgraduate scholarships from Bunda Mulia University,with the grand winners receiving a 100% full scholarship. The award was symbolically presented by Ms. Guan Nan,Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanities and a Lecturer in the Chinese Language & Culture Program at UBM, representing the university.
As cultural, tourism, and social ambassadors of DKI Jakarta, education plays a crucial role in equipping the winners with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in an increasingly globalized world. Education is a powerful tool that empowers individuals to be competent and ready to face the challenges of the future. Through the scholarship program, Bunda Mulia University and the Bunda Mulia Tourism Academy offer the winners an opportunity to continue their education and pursue a postgraduate degree (Master’s program) at Bunda Mulia University (UBM).
