Konferensi Ilmiah Akuntansi (KIA) XII dan 2nd International Conference “Opportunities and Challenges for the Accounting Profession in Financial Reporting to Support Entity Sustainability”

Jakarta, 21–22 April 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti, successfully organized the 12th Accounting Scientific Conference (KIA XII) and the 2nd International Conference on Financial Reporting (ICoFR) with the theme “Opportunities and Challenges for the Accounting Profession in Financial Reporting to Support Entity Sustainability”. The conference was held on Monday–Tuesday, 21–22 April 2025, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (WIB) at the Hendrawan Sie Building, 8th Floor, Auditorium of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti.

This event brought together academics, researchers, and accounting practitioners from various universities and professional organizations across Indonesia. Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) actively participated as a co-host of the conference. Dr. Temy Setiawan, S.E., M.Ak., M.Th., Ak., CA., CIBA., CPMA., CSRS., CertDA., ASEAN CPA—lecturer at UBM and member of the Forum Dosen Akuntansi Perguruan Tinggi (FDAPT) of IAI KAPd DK Jakarta—served as the External Chair of KIA XII, supported by Dr. Ririn Breliastiti, S.E., M.M., CSRS, as the External Co-Host Coordinator.

On the first day, 21 April 2025, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at UBM, Dr. Lelly Christin, S.E., M.M., along with the Head of the Accounting Study Program, Devica Pratiwi, S.E., M.Ak., CSRS, attended the opening session. Both also participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Implementation Arrangement (IA) to strengthen academic collaboration.

Additionally, UBM nominated Ms. Kandi Sofia Senastri Dahlan, M.B.A., Ph.D., to serve as a reviewer during the paper evaluation process at KIA XII.

On the second day, 22 April 2025, Dr. Temy Setiawan and Dr. Ririn Breliastiti contributed as discussants in the parallel sessions, providing academic feedback and valuable insights on the participants’ papers. Another active contribution came from UBM Accounting lecturer Veny, S.E., M.Ak., who participated as a conference presenter by delivering two research papers.

As the highlight of the event, a formal handover ceremony was held on 22 April 2025, transferring the responsibility for organizing the 13th Accounting Scientific Conference (KIA XIII) and the 3rd International Conference from Universitas Trisakti to Universitas Bunda Mulia. Devica Pratiwi, S.E., M.Ak., CSRS, Head of the Accounting Study Program at UBM, accepted the handover on behalf of UBM and expressed her gratitude for the trust given, along with hopes for a successful organization of the next conference.

Through this conference, it is hoped that academic collaboration among universities will be further strengthened, and that the accounting profession’s contribution to supporting entity sustainability will become increasingly evident amid global challenges.
