Universitas Bunda Mulia has successfully conducted an intensive “SAP Overview (SAP01)” training program for lecturers over five days, from December 16 to December 20, 2024. The training took place at Universitas Bunda Mulia’s Ancol and Alam Sutera campuses. This program is part of the university’s efforts to enhance the academic competencies of its lecturers through mastery of SAP technology, one of the world’s leading management information systems.
The training was attended by ten lecturers from various study programs, including Vianty Adella Santo, S.Ak., M.Ak., Veny, S.E., M.Ak., Dr. Ririn Breliastiti, S.E., M.M., CSRS, Dr. Ruth Nattassha, S.T., M.S.M., Catheryn Iona Nelson, S.Ak., M.Ak., Arihta Tarigan, S.Kom., M.M., I Gede Wisnu S. C. P., S.Kom., M.M., Julius Sutrisno, B.Sc., S.T., M.M., Devi Yurisca Bernanda, S.Kom., MMSI, and Agung S. Kembau, S.E., M.B.A., CPM. Participants received direct training from SAP-certified instructor Andika Lestari Nasution, who delivered theoretical and practical material using case study-based approaches.
The training commenced with a signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between Universitas Bunda Mulia and SAP, represented by Mrs. Kandi Sofia Senastri Dahlan, MBA, Ph.D., Vice Rector of Academic Affairs at Universitas Bunda Mulia, and Mr. Hanry Dharmawan Kumala, MBA, Managing Director of Edugate.
On the first day, the training introduced basic SAP concepts, including the company’s history, product coverage, and interface navigation. Participants learned how to log in, personalize displays, and utilize SAP system help features.
The second day focused on comprehensive system concepts and logistics modules. Participants practiced creating purchase orders, receiving goods, and performing invoice verification processes.
Day three covered financial modules, such as managing charts of accounts, vendor open items, and processing outgoing and incoming payments. Participants also learned how to generate cost center reports and process vendor invoices.
The fourth day explored Human Capital Management (HCM). Participants learned to create organizational structures, recruit new employees, manage employee data, and align qualifications with company needs.
The training culminated on the fifth day with discussions on SAP-supporting technologies, including client/server architecture and database management. The session concluded with an examination to assess participants’ understanding and competencies in the delivered materials.
Throughout the training, lecturers were provided with training modules and full access to practice various SAP-based scenarios, enabling them to understand the system’s real-world applications in supporting organizational operations. Universitas Bunda Mulia hopes that through this training, lecturers can integrate SAP knowledge into their teaching processes, equipping students to better meet the workforce demands increasingly reliant on information technology.
