MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING PUBLIC LECTURE OF PJJ ACCOUNTING STUDY PROGRAMME “Transformation of Management Accounting: Technological Innovation, Sustainability, and Strategy in the Digital Age”

Friday, 13 December 2024 from 18.30 – 20.10, a public lecture on management accounting entitled “Transformation of Management Accounting: Technological Innovation, Sustainability, and Strategy in the Digital Age” which was attended by around 50 PJJ accounting UBM students with speakers Dr. Donny Maha Putra, S.Kom, M.Ak who is a practitioner from the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia who serves as Head of the Organisational Strategy and Business Process Section at the Ministry of Finance. The public lecture received a positive response from the students. In the discussion of the material presented, it was explained that (1) The digital era brings great opportunities for students, to be part of a more modern and relevant management accounting transformation. (2) Technologies such as AI, Big Data, and blockchain are now the foundation in improving efficiency and accuracy in the accounting world. (3) The concept of sustainability through ESG opens up space for accounting to contribute to social and environmental responsibility.  (4) Developing analytical skills and mastery of technology, will not only be ready to face the challenges of the world of work, but also play a role in shaping the future of innovative and sustainable accounting.
