Tarakanita 2 High School, in collaboration with Bunda Mulia University, successfully organized a Community Service Program (PkM) with the theme “Python Fundamental,” which took place from August 9 to October 4, 2024.This activity aimed to introduce and enhance students’ understanding of the fundamentals of Python programming, one of the most relevant programming languages in today’s digital era.The program, attended by dozens of students from Tarakanita 2 High School, consisted of four interactive learning sessions. Each session focused on different topics, including an introduction to Python, variables and data types, data structures (lists, tuples, and sets), and the creation and use of functions. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice, students not only learned theoretical concepts but also applied them in simple programming exercises.Participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the program. This was evident from their active involvement in Q&A sessions, group discussions, and their ability to complete programming tasks. In the final session, students successfully created simple programs using Python, demonstrating their improved skills in understanding and applying the concepts taught. In addition to enhancing students’ digital literacy, the program also highlighted strong collaboration between higher education institutions and high schools in preparing a young generation ready to face future technological challenges. As a result of this program, Tarakanita 2 High School students gained not only a deeper understanding of Python programming but also a solid foundation of practical skills applicable to real-world scenarios.
