Hi Biemers!
The Digital Business Study Program and the Digital Business Student Association (EXODUS) successfully held a Guest Lecture titled “Building the Future: Overcoming Stagnation in Traditional Businesses Through the Four Forces of Connected Change and Digital Transformation.” This event took place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 08:00 AM WIB, onsite at the Lecturer Hall, UBM Serpong.
This Guest Lecture featured an inspiring speaker, Mr. Tuhu Nugraha, who serves as the Principal of Indonesia Applied Digital Economy & Regulatory Network (IADERN) and a Digital Business & Metaverse Consultant. This event was mandatory for all Digital Business students at the Serpong campus who are taking the Digital Business Transformation (BDB10) course. It was attended by second and fourth-semester Digital Business students eager to deepen their understanding of digital transformation strategies to face the ever-evolving business challenges.
The Guest Lecture began with an energetic opening by the Master of Ceremony (MC), followed by a welcome speech from Mr. I Gede Wisnu Satria Chandra Putra, S.Kom., M.M., the Secretary of the Digital Business Study Program at UBM Serpong. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of understanding change in the digital era and how students can prepare themselves to enter an increasingly competitive industry.
During his presentation, Mr. Tuhu Nugraha explained that traditional businesses experiencing stagnation must quickly adapt to changes in the digital era through four interconnected forces. Consumer behavior change demands businesses to be more personal and experience-based, while technological changes such as AI, IoT, and Big Data become key to operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. In addition, business model evolution requires companies to be more flexible with subscription-based systems and digital platforms. Finally, social change encourages businesses to be more sustainable and transparent in their practices. By understanding and applying strategies from these four forces, businesses can remain relevant and continue to grow in the digital era.
This Guest Lecture was highly interactive, featuring a Q&A session that allowed students to engage directly with Mr. Tuhu Nugraha. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident from the numerous questions asked about digital strategies, technology adaptation, and business opportunities in digital transformation.
This discussion further enriched participants’ knowledge of how to tackle industry challenges and leverage digital innovation for business sustainability in the future.
The Guest Lecture ran smoothly and successfully from start to finish. Through this event, it is hoped that Digital Business students at Universitas Bunda Mulia will gain a deeper understanding of digital transformation in the business world and be able to apply the strategies they have learned in their professional lives.
We extend our gratitude to Mr. Tuhu Nugraha, the organizing committee, and all parties involved in making this event a success. See you at the next inspiring event!
