Seminar “Transforming Higher Education Learning with Generative AI: Opportunities and Challenges” Successfully Held at Universitas Bunda Mulia

Jakarta, December 2, 2024 – Universitas Bunda Mulia Hosts Successful Seminar on “Transforming Higher Education Learning with Generative AI: Opportunities and Challenges”

Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) proudly organized a seminar titled “Transforming Higher Education Learning with Generative AI: Opportunities and Challenges” on Monday, December 2, 2024, at The UBM Master Kitchen. The event featured prominent speaker Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Achmad Benny Mutiara Q. N., S.Kom., and was attended by students from the Faculty of Technology and Design.

The seminar focused on the application of generative AI technology in higher education. With its ability to generate text, images, and even code, generative AI is considered a powerful tool for supporting teaching, independent learning, and the development of more adaptive curricula. Alongside exploring the vast opportunities offered by this technology, the seminar addressed key challenges, such as skill gaps, ethical issues, and its impact on educational quality.

Positive Outcomes and Feedback
Based on participant satisfaction surveys, the seminar achieved an average score of 3.77 out of 4, indicating a high level of satisfaction. The relevance of the material to the seminar’s objectives received the highest score of 3.85, followed by the material’s usefulness to participants (3.83) and the speaker’s mastery of the subject (3.81). Participants appreciated the seminar for providing new insights and significantly contributing to the development of their skills.
