After being selected as one of the 16 finalist pairs (32 participants), the finalists undergo a period of intensive training and education during quarantine.
On April 13, 2016, during the Koko Cici Jakarta quarantine period, IKOCI (Ikatan Koko Cici) invited the Bunda Mulia University (UBM) Postgraduate Program to conduct a special Event Management training session for the finalists. The training, led by Mr. Rianto (Lecturer in Hospitality and Tourism at UBM), was highly interactive and focused on the topic “Start-Up Event.” Through this session, the finalists gained valuable insights and knowledge that they had not encountered before.
In addition to the training, as one of the official sponsors of the event, the UBM Postgraduate Program also invited Prof. John J.O.I. Ihalauw, S.E., Ph.D. (Senior Advisor & Lecturer at UBM’s Master of Management Program) to provide inspiration and motivation to the finalists. Prof. JOI emphasized the importance of higher education, urging the finalists to pursue knowledge to the highest level possible. He highlighted the rapid advancement of technology and information, which requires young generations to be highly competent and adaptable in an ever-changing world. He also stressed that in today’s era, having only a standard education is no longer sufficient—a postgraduate degree has become the new minimum requirement for competitiveness.
Beyond engaging with UBM’s academic and professional community, the finalists also had the opportunity to explore the UBM Postgraduate Program under the guidance of Mr. Robet (Marketing Manager at UBM and a UBM Postgraduate alumnus). As one of the main sponsors of Koko Cici Jakarta 2016, the UBM Postgraduate Programawarded scholarships to the winners:
