Jakarta, July 13, 2024 – The much-anticipated final round of the The Young Chef Competition took place today, showcasing the culinary skills of talented young chefs from various educational institutions and workplaces. Organized by Elle & Vire by PT Savencia Indonesia on Thursday, July 13, 2024, the competition challenged participants to create two pieces of marble cake and three plated desserts within a strict three-hour timeframe.
Universitas Bunda Mulia (UBM) was proudly represented by Jessica Olive Limanto, a talented student who impressed the judges with her remarkable skills and creativity. The competition required participants to complete their desserts and cakes within the first two hours, followed by one hour for final touches, plating, and presentation to the judges.
Jessica Olive Limanto competed alongside 11 other finalists from renowned culinary schools and institutions, including APCA Indonesia, SMK 57, IPB International Bali, Maya Sanur Resort and Spa, Poltekpar NHI, Crio Restaurant, PIB, Elisabeth International Hotel and Business School, Pradita University, and Akpar NHI. The diverse group consisted of nine representatives from academic institutions, one from a restaurant, and one from a hotel.
Despite delivering a strong performance, Jessica Olive Limanto did not claim the top spot this year.
