Jakarta, March 3rd 2025 – On the 21st of February 2025, iCare a Student Activity Unit of Bunda Mulia University Ancol Campus held a social service activity by visiting the Disability Foundation of Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Mawar Putih, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. This visit to the Disability Foundation aims to establish good relations with the children of the Disabled Children’s Foundation and provide moral support, so that the children can feel more confident and motivated to be more exuberant in living their daily lives. The activity began with an opening by the MC, followed by a remark by the PIC, and representatives of the SLB Disability Foundation Mr. Wildah as the acting Principal. Then continued with a silat gymnastics performance by the SLB students, followed by a drama titled “Biri Biri” performed by the committee, and ice breaking session that consist asking questions and comments to the children regarding the “Biri Biri” drama
After that, the committee guided the SLB children to make doll creations from cloth, while singing the song “Balonku” together. The activity continued with playing a musical ball game and singing the song “Laskar Pelangi” together in a big circle followed by the committee, SLB children, and SLB teachers.
The children also gave a solo singing performance, then the organizers distributed snacks for the children during breaktime, followed by a speech by The Student Affair representative. The highlight of the event was making hand painting by sticking their fingers dipped in paint on the canvas that’s provided.
This activity ended with a group photo session, followed by the awarding of a charter from the foundation to iCare Bunda Mulia University as a form of appreciation for the visit made to SLB Mawar Putih. In addition, the committee also handed over donations in the form of monetary help, stationery and blackboards, then the event was officially closed by the MC.
