KULIAH UMUM UI/UX DESIGN “FROM VISION TO EXECUTION: THE ART OF UI/UX DESIGN” | UI/UX DESIGN PUBLIC CLASS “FROM VISION TO EXECUTION: THE ART OF UI/UX DESIGN”
Tangerang, 04 Maret 2025 – Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Bunda Mulia (DKV UBM) kembali mengadakan kuliah umum dengan tema “From Vision to Execution: The Art of UI/UX Design”, yang membahas mengenai kenyataan praktik desain ui/ux di industri. Acara ini berlangsung pada hari Selasa, 4 Maret 2025, bertempat di Lecture Hall, Alfa Tower, dengan menghadirkan Atras Alwafi, seorang desainer ui/ux, event producer, dan founder dari Tivitiviantv, sebagai pembicara utama.
Kegiatan ini dihadiri oleh 214 mahasiswa Universitas Bunda Mulia yang berasal dari berbagai program studi, didampingi oleh tiga dosen desain komunikasi visual, dengan penanggung jawab acaranya adalah Ibu Indira Febriany. Dalam kuliah umum ini, Atras Alwafi membahas mengenai kenyataan berkarir sebagai seorang desainer ui/ux dalam industri teknologi. Atras Alwafi memberikan gambaran mengenai jabaran bidang yang dapat ditekuni oleh seorang desainer ui/ux di era teknologi berbasis AI. Dalam kegiatan ini, Atras Alwafi mengajak para peserta untuk memahami betapa pentingnya fleksibilitas sebagai seorang pelaku industri dan pentingnya untuk memiliki keterbukaan untuk terus belajar.
Kegiatan ini berlangsung dengan sangat interaktif, dimana mahasiswa juga berkesempatan untuk bertanya langsung kepada Atras Alwafi dalam sesi tanya jawab. Pertanyaan yang diajukan mencakup berbagai aspek, mulai dari bagaimana menghadapi tantangan bekerja sebagai seorang desainer ui/ux di era kecerdasan buatan, proses kreatif dalam mengerjakan project, hingga tips untuk menyeimbangkan idealisme dan fungsionalitas dalam desain. Sesi ini memberikan manfaat yang sangat berharga bagi mahasiswa untuk mempersiapkan diri menghadapi dunia profesional.
Acara ini menjadi bukti nyata dari komitmen Universitas Bunda Mulia dalam menghubungkan teori dan praktik industri, sesuai dengan moto “Bridging Education To The Real World”. Kuliah umum ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi mahasiswa untuk terus menggali potensi, mengembangkan kreativitas dan inovasi, juga untuk menjadi terbuka untuk terus belajar.
Visual Communication Design Study Program of Bunda Mulia University (DKV UBM) once again held a public lecture with the theme “From Vision to Execution: The Art of UI/UX Design”, which discussed the reality of ui/ux design practices in the industry. This event took place on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Lecture Hall, Alfa Tower, presenting Atras Alwafi, a ui/ux designer, event producer, and founder of Tivitiviantv, as the main speaker.
This activity was attended by 214 Bunda Mulia University students from various study programs, accompanied by three visual communication design lecturers, with the person in charge of the event being Mrs. Indira Febriany. In this public lecture, Atras Alwafi discussed the reality of a career as a ui/ux designer in the technology industry. Atras Alwafi provided an overview of the fields that can be pursued by a ui/ux designer in the era of AI-based technology. In this activity, Atras Alwafi invited participants to understand how important flexibility is as an industry player and the importance of being open to continue learning.
This activity took place very interactively, where students also had the opportunity to ask Atras Alwafi directly in a question and answer session. The questions asked covered various aspects, ranging from how to face the challenges of working as a UI/UX designer in the era of artificial intelligence, the creative process in working on projects, to tips for balancing idealism and functionality in design. This session provides invaluable benefits for students to prepare themselves for the professional world.
This event is real evidence of Bunda Mulia University’s commitment to connecting theory and industry practice, in accordance with the motto “Bridging Education To The Real World”.
