On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Hospitality & Tourism Study Program Student Association, or commonly known as HMP Hospar, Bunda Mulia University Serpong Campus held a talk show and meet and greet with the theme “WINGS UNFOLDED: Embrace Your Metamorphosis” which was held at The UBM Lecture Hall Lt. 5 Alfa Tower, UBM Serpong Campus. This activity is intended for all new 1st semester students of the Serpong Campus Hospitality & Tourism study program to participate as participants.
This activity aims to provide a deeper understanding of the activities that can be followed during the lecture period, broaden new insights and insights into the importance of participating in organizations and how to optimize time during college, introduce the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program Student Association organization, inform the open recruitment of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program Student Association management for the 2024/2025 period, and invite new students to be more active and productive during the lecture period.
This Fun Meet activity invited Sidharta Sebastiandi Lautama and Callie Susanto, who are students of the UBM Serpong Campus Hospitality & Tourism study program class of 2020 and 2019, as speakers. This activity was opened lively by the MC of the event, Richard Volta and Klarissa Lee Arief. The Indonesia Raya song and UBM Mars became the opening session at this event, then continued with remarks from the secretary of the Serpong Campus Hospitality & Tourism study program, Ms. Andari Tirtadidjaja, SST.Par., M.Tr.Par and the Serpong Hospitality & Tourism HMP mentor, Ms. Roozana Maria Ritonga, BBA., M.Par. After that, the event continued with a talk show with the two speakers who were guided by Cindy Clarissa Halim as the moderator. The participants could also ask questions to both speakers in this session. Token of Appreciation was given by Ms. Roozana as a form of gratitude to both speakers. The event continued with a Meet & Greet session with HMP Hospar which began with remarks from Felicia Tania Chen as the President of HMP Hospar for the 2024/2025 period and continued with the introduction of division Presidents, and members of each division for the 2023/2024 period. After that, the Development division also explained and opened “Open Recruitment batch 2” for 1st semester students. This event was followed by challenges and games to add to the excitement of the event that could be followed by all participants. Finally, the winners of the challenges and competitions were announced, and ended with documentation with all organizers and speakers.
The hope of implementing this activity is that new students can be more courageous to develop, explore their potential, and be more confident in showing their abilities and skills. HMP Hospar also hopes that with this activity, the insights provided by the two speakers can help students in showing their abilities and skills, dare to try to get out of their comfort zone and face new challenges during the lecture period, and so that first semester students are interested in becoming part of the UBM Serpong Campus Hospitality & Tourism Study Program Student Association.
