Pada tanggal 30 Oktober 2024, Program Studi Desain Komunikasi Visual Universitas Bunda Mulia telah sukses menyelenggarakan kuliah umum Character Design yang berjudul “Kuliah Umum “Merancang Karakter Komik dan Animasi Berbasis Mitologi” Kegiatan ini diadakan secara hybrid, yaitu berlangsung secara langsung di kampus Universitas Bunda Mulia Ancol secara hybrid. Pembicara atau narasumber dalam acara ini adalah bapak Al Fitri Muhamad Zachky sebagai CEO Kampung Monster. Beliau memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang Desain Karakter serta Konsep Cerita dalam Industri Kreatif seperti Film/TV/Film, Animasi, Komik, Game dan Cosplay. Terutama berfokus pada Fantasi, Mitologi, Aksi-Petualangan Pahlawan Super, Fiksi Ilmiah, Mecha, Misteri, Horor, dan Ekstra-Terestrial. Menetapkan Ide Visual kita untuk merekonstruksi Mitologi Nusantara dan Dunia dalam Visual Kreatif yang mudah dipahami, menghuni dan mengemas ide-ide kita melalui pendekatan Fiksi Ilmiah. Konten kami dipublikasikan melalui Media Massa dan melalui elektronik seperti Program/Seri TV Animasi, Seri Komik, Seri Web, dan Komik Web. Sesi tanya jawab yang berlangsung setelah pemaparan materi menunjukkan antusiasme peserta. Banyak mahasiswa yang bertanya tentang bagaimana membangun relasi untuk membuat sebuah desain karakter menjadi menarik.

Public Lecture “Designing Comic and Animation Characters Based on Mythology”
On October 30 2024, the Visual Communication Design Study Program at Bunda Mulia University successfully held a public lecture on Character Design entitled “Public Lecture “Designing Comic and Animation Characters Based on Mythology”. This activity was held in a hybrid manner, namely taking place directly on the Bunda Mulia University campus Ancol hybrid. The speaker or resource person at this event was Mr. Al Fitri Muhamad Zachky as CEO of Kampung Monster. He provides in-depth insight into Character Design and Story Concepts in Creative Industries such as Film/TV/Film, Animation, Comics, Games and Cosplay. The focus is primarily on Fantasy, Mythology, Superhero Action-Adventure, Science Fiction, Mecha, Mystery, Horror, and Extra-Terrestrial. Determining our Visual Ideas to reconstruct Indonesian and World Mythology in Creative Visuals that are easy to understand, inhabiting and packaging our ideas through a Science Fiction approach. Our content is published through Mass Media and via electronics such as Animation TV Programs/Series, Comic Series, Web Series and Web Comics. The question and answer session that took place after the presentation of the material showed the enthusiasm of the participants. Many students ask about how to build relationships to make a character design interesting.
