Psyfest 2023 – Health Psychology

The Psychology Department of Bunda Mulia University (UBM) recently held a series of events called Psyfest (Psychology Festival) 2023, which consisted of 3 activities:

• National Essay Competition for college-level participants
• National Poster Competition for high school and equivalent level participants
• National Seminar for the general public.

The peak of the event was held on February 25, 2023 at The UBM Hall in Ancol Campus with a seminar themed “Health Psychology”.

The speakers at this seminar were:

• Tara de Thouars, B.A., M.Psi., Psychologist – psychologist at RSJ Dharmawangsa,
• Eunike Sri Tyas Suci, M.A., Ph.D., Psychologist – advisor to the Indonesian Health Psychology Association and member of the Board of the Indonesian Psychological Association.

This seminar was moderated by Garvin Goei, M.Psi., Psychologist who is also the Head of the Psychology Program at UBM.

The winners of the competitions for both the essay and poster were also announced at this event.

National Poster Competition champions:

• Michelle Helene Lay from Kanaan Vocational High School, Jakarta
• Najwa R. Azka Zakiyyaa from SMAN 1 Pacitan, East Java
• Shelvie Meiviani Gandapriana, SMAK Penabur Cirebon, West Java.

National Essay Competition champions:

• Priti from South Sumatra
• Sri Handayani from North Sumatra
• Inge Permatasari from East Java.

All activities ran smoothly and included participants from various provinces throughout Indonesia, namely: (1) Jakarta, (2) Banten, (3) West Java, (4) Central Java, (5) East Java, (6) South Sumatra, and (7) North Sumatra.
